Laser tattoo removal works by breaking down the tattoo ink beneath the skin so your body can naturally clear it away. It is a gradual, safe process that fades unwanted ink without surgery.
1. Consultation & Patch Test
Every course begins here. We assess your tattoo, the ink colours, your skin type and your medical history, then carry out a patch test on a small area to confirm the laser is safe and effective for you. A £25 fee applies — fully redeemable against your treatment if you decide to proceed.
2. The Laser Targets the Ink
The laser passes safely through the surface of the skin and is absorbed by the tattoo ink rather than the surrounding skin. The energy shatters the ink into tiny particles, which is why the tattoo begins to fade.
3. Your Body Clears the Ink
Over the following weeks your immune system naturally flushes away the broken-down ink particles. This is why results develop gradually in the days and weeks after each session, rather than all at once.
4. Results Build Over a Course
Tattoos usually fade across a course of sessions, spaced several weeks apart to allow your skin to recover and your body to clear the ink. Larger, darker or multi-coloured tattoos generally need more sessions than small, single-colour pieces.
Exact session numbers vary from person to person depending on the size, age, colour and depth of the tattoo. We will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.
